Karen Hawkins’ The Princess Wore Plaid 2.5 in the great Oxenburg series is a great spring day read. It has a  great beauty meets beast spin to it. Tatiana is one of the Romanovin family from the series but in a carriage accident she forgets she is a princess and has to work as a barmaid. Lord Buchan was injured in a battle with the French, he is now like a surly wounded animal. Tatiana is not afraid nor does she treat him like a invalid. Soon they start spending more time together and learn to love. This is a wonderful quick read and I can’t wait for the next in this series.

Heartsong Cottage is another wonderful addition to the Eternity Spring series. Shannon is running from her past and a stalker. Daniel lost his family and has spent the last 10 years chasing down bad guys, so the same thing never happens to someone else's family.  Shannon and Daniel meet at another Eternity Springs wedding, both lonely and needing to heal. Together they learn to let go and love. Together they have a heartsong.

If you love scottish romances, and I do, you will love this book. Abigail is everything a strong Scots woman should be, especially one that will one day lead her clan. Daniel is a loyal knight and friend to the Queen. Abigail's mother is the true heir to the throne, but wants no part of it. Daniel is to bring Abigail's mother to her, but Abigail goes instead. On the way, Daniel and Abigail find intrigue and love.  Paula Quinn’s The Scandalous Secret of Abigail MacGregor is a real page turner.
