Karen Hawkins never fails to please. In the next book in the Oxenburg series you get to meet Ailsa, who is a witty and headstrong Scottish lady. We also get to know Nik, who we got a glimpse of in the other books. Ailsa is a country lady left to care for the family estate; she knows she is plain and is content with life. Nik is the crown prince of Oxenburg who is tired of the intrigue and has been betrayed too many times to trust anyone. When Tata Natasha, Nik's grandmother, is kidnapped while visiting Ailsa's grandmother, they have to team up to save her. As with all the series, Tata Natasha, my favorite character, is a scene stealer and helps Nik and Ailsa realize their love for each other. This charming book seems to be the last of the series, but Tata Natasha might still have some match-making still in her.

Lana and the Laird

Sabrina York’s third book in the Untamed Highlander series Lana and the Laird was a hit. Sabrina has a way of drawing you into the story and making you not want to leave. Lana is the last of the three sisters to marry because no one thought she would, what man want someone who talks to ghost. Alexander is a haunted man who has been dream of her for years. Lana is a Scots lass that can help this Duke find his Scottish roots and save the land and him.

Emily March’s Reunion Pass is the 11th book in the Eternity Springs series. In this book Lori and Chase are high school sweethearts but went their separate ways in college. Chase went out to see the world and begun a career as an photographer, while Lori studied hard and became a veterinarian . Lori and Chase always wanted different things out of life. Now Chase is back in their hometown of Eternity Springs to get married to his star in the reality show he photographs. Lori is the local Vet. and not to happy to see Chase getting married. With some help from Celeste maybe they will realize they still love each other. I really love this series and this book.
I am a huge Jude Deveraux and Jane Austen Fan, so you know I loved loved loved this book! Jude takes Pride and Prejudice in her own direction and it is Awesome!   In The Girl from Summer Hill the town is putting on Pride and Prejudice play to raise money for medial clinics . You have famous actor, town people and best of all a Montgomery as a descendant of Jude’s Montgomery series.  It was wonderful modern version of P and P with cute quotes from  P and P at the beginning of each chapter.. Tate and Casey make a great version of Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. It is a fun read but  watch out for the crazy peacock.

First Time with a Highlander is the perfect mix of sci-fi and romance. It is the second book in the  Sirens of the Scottish Borderlands series. Gwyn Cready has created a great world that you feel connected to and want to read more. I love that the heros is throw back in time in this books instead of the heroines as in most other time travels I have read. This is the first book I have read of the series and it was a great stand alone but I will be sure to read the first one.

Four Wedding and a White Christmas is the fifth Cherry Pie Island books. Although this is the first one I have read it was easy to jump right in and I now want to read the rest of the set. The book takes place over a few years as Hannah and Harry discover who they are and their love for each other. I love that Harry and Hannah’s daughter made such a connection. This was a great quick read with a Christmas theme. I will definitely be trying more Jenny Oliver’s books

Karen Hawkins’ The Princess Wore Plaid 2.5 in the great Oxenburg series is a great spring day read. It has a  great beauty meets beast spin to it. Tatiana is one of the Romanovin family from the series but in a carriage accident she forgets she is a princess and has to work as a barmaid. Lord Buchan was injured in a battle with the French, he is now like a surly wounded animal. Tatiana is not afraid nor does she treat him like a invalid. Soon they start spending more time together and learn to love. This is a wonderful quick read and I can’t wait for the next in this series.

Heartsong Cottage is another wonderful addition to the Eternity Spring series. Shannon is running from her past and a stalker. Daniel lost his family and has spent the last 10 years chasing down bad guys, so the same thing never happens to someone else's family.  Shannon and Daniel meet at another Eternity Springs wedding, both lonely and needing to heal. Together they learn to let go and love. Together they have a heartsong.

If you love scottish romances, and I do, you will love this book. Abigail is everything a strong Scots woman should be, especially one that will one day lead her clan. Daniel is a loyal knight and friend to the Queen. Abigail's mother is the true heir to the throne, but wants no part of it. Daniel is to bring Abigail's mother to her, but Abigail goes instead. On the way, Daniel and Abigail find intrigue and love.  Paula Quinn’s The Scandalous Secret of Abigail MacGregor is a real page turner.

Under The Mistletoe was a joy to read. Every story held my attention. My favorite part was Karen Hawkins Oxenburg story, it  was a great treat to read more for that series.  The book made me wish it was Christmas
Belle and the Beast is my first book by Olivia Drake and now I can't wait to read more.. This  book is a little bit of mystery and a lot of romance. The book reminded me of the Mummy and Cinderella mixed. I love the Beaded Garnett slippers, it adds a touch of fairytale. Now I am going to read the rest of the series Cinderella Sisterhood!
